Android Application meant for providing aid to the homemaker in the process of selecting what to cook
The challenge
Have you ever wondered what I should cook today? Or Have you ever reached midway while cooking and realized there are not sufficient ingredients in the kitchen? The average supermarket carries nearly 39,000 different items. What other task is so likely to create decision fatigue? A mental inventory of recipes so that you can use all your ingredients effectively, substitute for ingredients you have forgotten, adjust to the needs and preferences of those you are cooking for. Ingredients rotting in the pantry and not being used in any dish. We are trying to come up with a solution to a frequently asked question: About what to cook? Answering this question solves the previous problems and also helps us make cooking food an easier task for the people.
The solution
A platform for families to maintain their pantry in the kitchen and to help them decide what to cook. Recommend new recipes to try and experiment with the available ingredients in the pantry. It would use computer vision to take pictures of the items available in the inventory at our homes and identify them using the machine learning model.
